Greenland-style Kayak Paddles

Greenland style kayak paddles
Our kayak paddles are made from spruce or cedar and are from a design used by Inuit in Greenland. This type of paddle employs a narrow 3 1/2" wide blade and an oval shaped, rather stout 1 1/2" thick shaft. Blade tips are protected with an epoxy/silica edge and the blades are stiffened with a sheathing of fiberglass. Shaft lengths vary while the blade lengths are the same.

Overall lengths are 86" (20"shaft), 88" (22" shaft), 90" (24" shaft), 92" (26"shaft). Determine the proper shaft length by measuring the comfortable distance between the hands.

Price: $200
