Yokes In our canoes we offer the option of two types of carrying yokes: either a curved thwart with two fabric covered foam blocks, or a beautiful hand-carved yoke made of the same wood as the rest of the trim in your canoe. The carved yokes are comfortable as is or used in conjunction with a shoulder-padded PFD for the portage trail. Kits
Most of our canoe models are available in kit form. These include all the materials you need to build the canoe except primer, paint and varnish. The kit includes prepared ribs and planking, pre-bent stems, planed and shaped gunwales, all hardware, seats, etc. that you will need to finish your canoe using only hand tools. The complete kit price is at a 10% discount to our listed supplies. Please call or email for a complete list of materials for the model canoe you are interested in.
